Duties &Responsibilities:
Include,but are not limited to the following:
- Performs planned andcorrective maintenance on gas turbine driven compressor and generator packages.
- Performs planned andcorrective maintenance of field instrumentation, F&G system, controlsystems, electrical systems and so on.
- Performs I&Csystems troubleshooting activities as necessary to determine failure conditionsand rectifies any defects found.
- Performs routine datacollection and record field measurements.
- Performs instrumentation and control systems equipmentcalibration.
- Provide front line support to installation and commissioning activities.
- Conducts condition monitoring of equipment.
- Supports control system retrofit and upgrade scopes.
- Performs routine backups of all controls systems software andmaintain back up files with up to date revisions.
- Participates in continuous improvement initiatives in assigned area ofresponsibility.
- Identifies and orders necessary I&C related spares formaintenance and repair activities in time.
- Provides engineering input for updating inventory lists withhigh quality and up to date data.
- Identifies required consumables for job execution and order themin time to make sure stock availability.
- Communicates with customer regarding condition of equipment and repair workscope.
- Timely produce and distribute detailed and high quality service,inspection, troubleshooting and fault analysis reports.
- Ensures recommendations from applicable Service Bulletins arereviewed and implemented in timely manner.
- Recognizes problems and is proactive in helping to resolve them.
- Participates in risk assessment for maintenance activities and contribute toPermit to Work system.
- Ensures proper use of CMMS system to report, track and record all maintenanceactivities with high quality of data.
- Ensures all completed tasks are properly completed in CMMSsystem and follow up WOs are raised when needed.
-Ensures all company owned hand, measurement and diagnostic tools are properlymaintained and calibrated in time.
- Develops a good working relationship with the customer.
- Coaches and mentors junior Field Service Engineers.
- Ensure compliance with all company and governmental safety, environmental andhealth rules and regulations.
Education/Experienceand Qualification:
- Minimum BSc degree in Instrument and Control Engineering orequivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in maintenance, operations,troubleshooting and repair of I&C systems.
- Exposure to PLC control systems (Allen Bradley, Siemens).
- Proven field service experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity and experience with hand, measurement and testingtools.
- An understanding of engineering drawings and principles.
- The ability to work with minimum supervision and under pressure.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- English literacy.
- Good technical writing skills.

Technical Support Engineer (Instrumentationand Control) provides instrumentationand control engineering support for Gas Compression and Power Generationstations. Successful candidate will need to work closely with site engineers inorder to achieve high level of availability and reliability of plant equipment.Instrumentation and Control Engineer will work with other professionals in orderto improve production facilities, reduce the incidence of costly breakdowns anddevelop strategies to improve overall reliability and safety of plant,personnel and production processes.

- Act as a focal point for instrumentationand control related queries.
- Develop maintenance and inspectionprocedures related to instrumentation and control devices and review themperiodically to ensure they are up to date and cover all requirements.
- Develop instrumentation field maintenanceand inspection regimes and procedures to reduce likelihood of failure and toensure maintenance tasks are performed correctly and consistently
- Provide input to availability andreliability studies, defining spares requirements.
- Define performance standards for instrumentationand control devices safety critical elements.
- Define performance, functional andsafeguarding specifications for instrumentation and control devices usingapplicable codes and standards.
- Select and apply instrumentationcodes and standards for instrumentation and control devices
- Define the specification andselection of spare parts for instrumentation and control devices to be procuredand arrangements for storage.
- Define required spare part stocklevels and reorder quantities related to instrumentation and control devices.
- Support field personnel in troubleshootingof field instrumentation and control devices.
- Define instrumentation and controldevices commissioning and startup methodologies.
- Manage the integration ofoperational and/or maintenance requirements into projects.
- Meet regularly with the customer todiscuss issues related to instrumentation and control devices, modernizationand upgrade projects.
- Initiate and lead Root CauseAnalysis for the incidents related to instrumentation and control devices.
- Produce high quality reports withrecommendations required to resolve technical issues and to improve equipmentreliability and availability.
- Review OEM`s Service Bulletins andcheck applicability to the fleet. If applicable put in place actions toimplement them.
- Lead and manage obsolescencestudies for filed instrumentation and control devices.
- Provide engineering support at sitefor the installation, inspection, and testing of instrumentation and controldevices.
- Produce work packs for upgrades andmodifications related to instrumentation and control devices.
- Review NCRs related to instrumentationand control devices and track them to close out.
- Review reports (maintenance,inspection, troubleshooting, root cause analysis etc.) and identify actionsrequiring engineering support.
- Make sure all technicaldocumentation related to instrumentation and control devices is up to date.
Education/Experience and Qualification:
- Bachelor's degree in instrumentation andcontrol engineering (master's preferred).
- Minimum 10 years of experience in instrumentationand control engineering field.
